Toons you can never recall? That's hardly accurate, why, I can recall several frames from disparate cartoons of yours... ah, let's see... you were in it, I think and, um, you were... no, it was... was there a whisk... um.... of some kind, .... ah... ;..................... and I laughed out loud.

Since I've made this cartoon, certain events have transpired to make it spookily true.
My boy's sick atm. Viral infection. I found this out the hard way when he threw up 250mls of formula and 150 ml of yoghurt. I was holding him at the time. And he faced me to do it.
As Michael Palin once said though: "He's getting better!"

And as Mr Creosote once said 'better... better get me a bucket...'
I must really have left your child scarred and traumatised, and I didn't even get to make any scary faces yet.
Although readers of last weeks 'life' may beg to differ.

Well, he got well but it seems that was to enable him to get sick again A new vitus, no less.
I should be at swimming lessons with him as I speak but noooooooooo, instead I feel my prepaid dollars toddling away, looking away and giggling. Hmph!
(get well soon baby boy )

*Resists the impulse to crack a joke about St Vitus dance, fails and hopes that Wowbagger will forgive her anyway*

You can't go ... not until you help me with this 'St Vitus dance' thingee. I don't know the reference.

Ahhh... 'St Vitus Dance' is the name of a disease which makes the sufferer twitchy, so appearing to 'dance'. I don't know the correct medical term for it. I think it was named after a certain saint actually called Vitus who was forced to literally dance to death for being a Christian...
So, when you made that small typo I had visions of poor Lachlan twisting and dancing the night away... which he probably was, poor lamb, if he had a virus.
So... not a very funny joke, which is why I didn't really want to mention it...
*Stops digging hole and winks at Wowbagger and

Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~ Posted Nov 27, 2001
Ah, well, now it all makes sense - even to me
I actually remember my father telling me about this. Only he called St. Vitus by his danish and/or german name Sankt Veit (pronounced something like "fight")
*'s as if he has got a tick and look forward to seeing Wb's newest masterpiece *
