I think I said something along the lines of you are entitled to campaign for whatever you like. Perhaps you should read peoples posts more carefully to avoid misunderstandings. I was confused, i was not critisising you. (people will tell you I am often confused )
Are you saying that you don't value friendship? If so, then I am a little confused (see? ) as to why you are on a community centred website.

Who says the discussion's getting heated? I was just making a point, didn't mean to offend anyone.

I didn't mean that it was getting heated. I'm not sure what I meant, but somehow seemed appropriate. Maybe I was wrong.

I don't think need is the word to use here....
Do we really 'need' half of the smilieys?
Probably not... we used to cope without them.
I think the problem here is that we are trying to justify something that doesn't need to be justified.
It goes on the list, you can wait for it like everyone else has to wait for theirs. Surely if it were given any priority there would be those who would turn round and say that h2g2 favours Sikhs.
Now why not an smiley or even as in Aladin's... I do believe thay are both turban wearers! That way we could use it more generally across h2g2 = your wish is my command/right away...
But it could still be used as a religious smiley if you wanted, though I'm inclined to agree with Patsey, religion only causes trouble This is coming from a Catholic so I should know

Sorry, can't remember if it was a typo or a genuine mistake... but it is now stored for future reference!
