I have written an excellent article, A649640 - 'Arguments For and Against The Existance of this Article', and feel it should be submitted. Any arguments? Gah, well, say what you want. I'm not serious, but it would be rather funny.

Well, seeing that this is exactly the same as the Help Page A467147, could this be removed from Peer Review as it does not fit the Writing-Guidelines?

I'm kind of disappointed. An article that actually addressed the philosphical question of 'Arguments For and Against The Existance of this Article' would have been really interesting.

Hi HippieOgre!

I think this is funny! Problem is, as people have said, it doesn't meet the writing guidelines for the *edited* section of the guide. The edited section of the guide is a kind of peer-reviewed online encyclopaedia, so entries have to be facutal and written in a certain style. That's not to say that there's anything wrong with what you've written - just that it's not for review in this particular forum.

Could you click on the peer review link at the top of the page, and then click on "remove" to take this out of peer review? This *won't* delete your entry, but will just take it from this review list. You could put this in the alternative writing workshop, or put a link from your home page - "click here to be confused"

Best wishes

Otto

well, yes, nice attempt alluding to the deeper meaning of existance... but somehow misfired, I'm afraid. PR and British humour are two different things smiley - whistle

Not sure what's going on here. Has the author deleted the entry, or was it always thus (and therefore justifying the title)?

Whatever, it looks to me like a GR case.

you're all no fun. it was intended as a joke to begin with, and wasn't expected to be put into peer review. i WAS going to actually write a philosophical article on it (which would actually be very stupid and just involve all the metaphysical questions that could be addressed for anything else and get mankind absolutely nowhere), but then realized that it'd be funnier this way and would confuse a lot of people. my mission succeeded...

anyway, it's not necessarily british humor, just philosophical geek humor. not every british person understands metaphysics enough to find it hilarious.
