Hi Bethe-musing for Hullabaloo,
I like it in the name too. It all helps our (Poetic) Mission From Gard
A really good place to start getting into GuideML is Hoovooloo's page
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U114627
It's a good page to read anyway, but more especially, if you scroll down to Don't Panic! s/he's put all the GuideML code for the page so you can see how it's done.
I work on this principle meself - why ponder over your own stuff when you can cut and paste code from others?
Yours in this Modern Contemporary Age,
Hull

Do I need to apologise for eavesdropping? Ok, sorry. I'm no good, am I?
Just thought impart a little bit of info that you might be interested in, before I sign off till next weekend. If you want to see the code for anyone's page just replace the "U" in their user page number with "testuserpage", like this:
Say you wanted to see the code for the Hullabaloo Fan Club Page, go to the page, here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U186603
the replace the "U186603" with "testuserpage186603" thusly:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/testuserpage186603
Then you'll see all the code. It'll work on anyone's page.

Hi Great Hull
I did as you suggested and visited Hoovooloo and stole some code. You were right (as always) it was and interesting page to visit.
There is now a link on my space to your space. That took me all day so there is very little else on my page! However a great leap forward, don't you think.
It has been exhausting though and kept me from my poetry. Oh well there is always tomorrow.

Hi Sal
Feel free to eavesdrop any time.
I did know about the testuser page thingy but for some reason it doesn't work for me. Might be my connection. Or else I am stupidly overlooking something incredibly obvious!
Have a good week.

Oh blow!
Ok, well if you type "Annabella's HTML Help" into a search engine, you'll find all sorts of lovely code. It seems to work as well as GuideML.
Sal
PS I'll work on having a good week, thanks.

Looks great - Go Beth Go! (as I believe the youngsters of today would put it).
RU still trying to go west ( Labrador?). If so, will I have to be un-a-Mused for a long time, or will you be logged in?
Sincerely,

I would have been here earlier but somehow I became a Big Green Smiley for a while. I was just wondering around H2G2, clicked on a link and became someone else - most peculiar.
I will indeed be travelling west. Not to labrador - it is actually North and a little to the right. I'm told that to get where I'm going I have to go left - that is if you face north of course. If I face south and go right I'd probably get there. On the other hand, if I face north and go right then eventually I would get to the far east and just beyond that is the far west.
Whatever. The travel arrangements were finalised today. Three more weeks and I'll be gone and won't be back til the end of February.
There is supposed to be a 'puter of some sort provided for me but I won't know for sure 'til I get there. One way or another I'll get some access of some sort.
If you need me just - you know how to do that.........
I was wondering if you were going to do a poem for Christmas. I am not a great fan of christmastime but I am always touched by the thought of Mary sitting on her ass for days and then finding no room at the inn.

Heavenly Beth<
OIC. You're actually south of the great St.Lawrence, of general Wolfe fame. I'm not very up on the Colonies, except the Empire of India of course and our new colony around Bagram Airport in Afghanistan.
So you're off to New Brunswick then? Toronto? Vancouver? I once ate a cheese sandwich in Toronto - I cannot remember for the nonce whether that was before or after the terrorist revolution in America. We shouldn't have let them off the hook - might have saved the world a whole lot of trouble...?
Congratulations on your poem being in the Post, and I'm gratified that you have finally been able to make your arrangements to get away for the holiday period, which I trust you will enjoy heartily.
Have you seen the 'Parnassus' thread on the Fan Site?

Forgive me for not being here earlier. By the wonders of technology the BBC managed to shut out the whole of North America! Well, they said U.S. and others - and I don't like being 'other'. I am not an other I am a Muse and I am not amused!
However, wonderful news about the post. I wasn't expecting it so soon on account of the illness - I hope all is well there now.
I have been to the Parnasus thread - another wonderful idea of yours - is there no end to your brilliance.
I intended to answer on more threads tonight but the Beeb finally let me in I got tied up with the Big Green Smiley again. Have you met Big Green Smiley - http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U187164 - you too could become the Big Green Smiley.
I see that I omitted to say where I was going - Gabriola, it is a little island beside Vancouver Island (which is a big island)
So looking forward to the Christmas poem!

Marvellous, Beth..I saw some of these fantastic islands on the ferry trip to Van Island once. Some of the nicest parts of the whole Empire.
If you've never been there before, it's unbelievably beautiful out there - if you have been there, you'll know what I'm on about.
Is _British_ Columbia still fiercely independent of Canada, with those dastardly French undertones? A very loyal Province, it warms the cockles of me old British heart to be able to say.
Gratuitously

Forgive me. I was only here for a few minutes earlier. I was simply intrigued that you would take on the guise of the Big Green Smiley.

Great Hull
I am so glad that you are yourself again. I was so suprised that you became the Big Green Smilie . After I suggested it I had some regrets at being so presumptious as to suggest anything. But you entered into the spirit of the situation and revealed your hidden depths of understanding. You are indeed a mysterious and enigmatic character.
Your new poem is amazing - I left a comment in your journal.

Dear Beth,
Forgive me for my absence, but my electric computer ran into problems with what the young boffins of today would call its "Hard Drive", (forgive the sexual undertones), and I had to call out a local little man (as we call servants in our country these days), to repair it.
You know, we all feel under pressure some times, like our computers. Makes you think, doesn't it?
I was genuinely flattered by your great insight into my Divine latest poem, with its humanity, vogonity and general superness.
I remain your humble servant in these matters
When exactly are you escaping into or from RL? I'd like to write a brilliant Christmas poem for you, but `I don't want to do it too early. I'd like to do it before you get away, though.
Humbly yet decorously,
Hullabaloo, Poet and Tragedian
