Hi Archangel!!!
1. I want to thank you for getting involved here and being so helpful
2. The 'they' was meant to be inclusive (he/she) as well as a plural. Sorry! I presume it should be 'she'?

Hi Hull
I hope you are as great today as you always are and continue to be as wonderfully creative (as you always are.)
I'm afraid I've been a wee bit distracted these past few days on account of someone dropping a fridge on my car. This, of course, caused great distress to all concerned (including the three legged cat who witnessed the mishap.)
I'm trying to look on the bright side - perhaps there is the basis for a poem in it?
I've been comforting myself this evening by reading 'Ducks'. One of your shorter poems but colossal in its small way. I was particularly impressed by the introduction of the contrasting concepts of 'chips'
and 'fries'. This is the kind of subtle detail that most poets overlook.
Beth
PS and thanks for the drinks.

Hi O Wondrous Beth,, Muse of Poetry,
Yes, I'm brilliant as usual, thankyou.
I weep at the tragedy of your horseless carriage, but also wonder why people in Nova Scotia have refrigerators in the first place. Has a smooth-talking villain visited your neighbourhood lately, just fresh from selling them to Eskimos? (or is it the Inuit in the PC version - I have a Mac so I tend to be non-PC). Is the poor cat still suffering from the vapours from witnessing the awful and surrealist event in person? Here's a cup of tea for it, to be transformed by the magic of poesy into a saucerful of milk.
Congratulations on picking out one of the very best of my excellent poems, with your description showing great insight into the logical shift at its heart I'm glad that it comforted you in your hour of need. I expect you could do with another or few.
Gracefully and graciously,
Hull

Graceful and Gracious Hull
How good to hear from you so soon. So wonderful that you can find time to care about my little misfortunes in your, oh so inspired and busy life.
I'm afraid we do require refridgerators here. It can get rather hot in summer then there is the global warming thingy which has been playing havoc with the weather. I'm all in favour of global warming myself - I'm also in favour of cutting down all the trees as they are spoiling the view. (But I do have a PC because there is no Mac dealer around here.)
I dropped by to visit the cat and he still has the correct number of legs (for him). He graciously accepted the tea after I tempted him with some salmon mouse.
I hope to do some serious poetry study this weekend but today I had to work.

Hi Beth
from my lofty position on Parnassus I see all creatures as equally vulnerable and 'sensible' (as the Quebequois say), (ie sensitive), so I'm glad the cat's OK and enjoyed the tea.
Shame about the PC. We really Creative types always have Macs.
See my latest masterpiece on me Home Page.
Condescending and Genuine Regards,

What great joy to have the whole situation commemorated in your exquisite poetry. I am so full of joy at this turn of events. Also the nice man came and fixed the car so it has been a really good day.
I have finally got my official museship from the Musehome - Muse of Poetry was not available. I have chosen the title Muse of Hullabaloo and now I can continue to emuse with added official recognition.
And thank you for you condensation.

Hi, most Heavenly Beth
Congratulations on your Official Museship!
If I were less of a genius I'd be in awe of you!
Glad you got the car fixed and exquisitely flattered that you saw the innate worth in the poem.

O Great Hull
I am surprised to find you here so late at night. You should be getting your rest. Genius needs rest, you know.
Please do not tire yourself. The world needs your creativity to be well rested and alert.

... Fear not, Fair Lady. 'Twas the night the clocks went back from British Summer Time to GMT, so I was making the most of the extra hour at the service of my genius...

Great One
I thought I'd lost you ! I've been neglecting you again and as a result you were way far down my conversation list. (Well I did tell you I was unreliable.)
My car got smashed again this week. I left it in the same place as before and someone backed into it. I don't feel too bad about it. It occurs to me that bit by bit I'm aquiring a whole new car .
(And the three legged cat seems to be getting used to these happenings and wasn't too upset this time.)
I have been neglecting my poetry study I'm afraid as I'm spending time working out different ways to park the car to ensure that different bits of it get damaged each time it is hit by something.

Fair One,
Not to worry. I've checked your job specification, as advertised, and I see no requirement that you be at my beck and call or keep in touch every day. 'Tis sweet when you do get in touch, though...'tis inspiring (as it jolly well should be given the nature of your Calling).
Graciously,

O, sweet Beth, tormentor of my soul!
Haven't heard from you in lots. Is ther a shortage out there or would you wish to relinquish the Heavenly Duty of muse?
You were brilliant, but should I advertise again? I must admit me juices have been having trouble lately, without your inspirartion.
Understandingly,
Hull, (Poet and Tragedian)

O Great Hull
Sorry for the neglect. Truth is - and this is the truth - someone tried to burn down my little town on Halloween night and I'm afraid that has been a bit of a distraction from normal duties. I have not forgotten you, however and hope you can forgive this lapse in my attention to your genius.
I have been reading 'Worgling' to comfort me but I may have to find another quiet place to worgle for a while.
What a wonderful picture of me at your fan club site and a very good likeness . Trouble is I'm not sure if a muse can be a fan as well - well of course I am a fan - but I'm not sure of the protocol.
Maybe tomorrow I will get a bottle of something and get down to the serious business of great admiration for the one and only Great and Wonderful and Incredibly talented Hull.

Hi Beth
I'm really sorry for my last posting. ~I thought it was funny at the time but it now looks like a threat - which it wasn't meant to be at all.
Sorry to hear about the fire. You're having such bad luck at the moment. Hope your luck turns soon.
Thanks for your message - I'm not sure about a muse being a fan either.
