A Conversation for Talking Point: Public Transport
My Weekend... grrrr....
Nick Fel Started conversation Dec 4, 2003
Normally, I'm okay with public transport. I'm 18, I haven't passed a driving licence yet, and I dont' have anyone I can get a lift with... so it's either public transport or walk.
But this weekend I had to get from Chester to Lancaster. First off, trains from Chester to Manchester were cancelled for maintenance. Okay. A bus has been set up instead, so I buy my ticket and wait for that. When the bus finally gets there, it fills up so damned fast that I can't get on it, and I have to wait around for them to organise a taxi - meaning I miss the Manchester to Lancaster train.
Wait around at Manchester and catch the next one, which then stops at Preston and tells us there's too many people onboard, and if you're going to Lancaster without a reservation, you gotta get off.
Oh, and to top it off... when I finally get to Lancaster a crazy man sat next to me on the bus to the uni and touched my hand
So... not liking public transport right now. That is all.
