Not even worthy of the title. Hot fruit-flavoured water, more like

Agreed. It's not even hot fruit-flavoured water though; I have never tried a fruit tea that's actually tasted like fruit.

Fruit tea is OK but it needs sugar to taste proper. Compared to real tea? Pah! It holdeth not a candle, not even one of those crap wee ones that come in a little metal tin.

Fruit tea needs half a bag of sugar to make it taste nice

Err, I like fruit tea. And Camomile. Nettle is okay.
Get the mulled wine fruit tea, that's nice - or Turkish Apple, even better.

Um, I'm actually quite partial to cinnammon tea - it's really spicy and peppery. Not bland like most herbal teas. What does mulled wine tea taste like? And don't say 'mulled wine' because I'm afraid I haven't tasted that either.

I can't think of a favourite fruit tea, as most of them are bland, although I seem to remember liking some sort of berry tea once there was enough sugar in it. Anyone ever tried putting milk in fruit-tea, thus waggishly ignoring the instructions of the fruit tea manufacturers?

Ewwww, milk in tea? Any tea? Yuk! I tried it with fruit tea once, I was almost sick

Ah at last a sensible use for fruit tea, fill it with alchohol.
Whilst on holiday I had Long Island iced tea, would you Adam and Eve it, there is, in fact no tea in that drink. Very very nice though

It's good to see the return of Liptonice recently - it was available in cans before, but as I was possibly the only person who bought it, it was withdrawn from sale.
If you haven't tried some, don't be put off by the 'eww - cold tea' thought.

Personally, I don't like it much, but yeah I can see the appeal.

IMHO, the only moment when so called "fruit tea" has some appeal, is when you just opened the bag/box, and it produces some fragrant hallucinations. Get it anywhere close to hot water, and it reveals its evilness....
Hence the only use I can think of for fruit tea : drop half the content of a box into a large bowl, put said bowl somewhere in a friend's livingroom, and tadah! call yourself a designer with that exquisit idea of a "pot-pourri", a.k.a. tacky air-freshner...
