Article A61939551 Oklahoma
I returned to check on the article ten hours later and it had reverted to moderation without my even touching it.
I have decided to let this sit untouched for two weeks.
During that time perhaps the scouts can decide whether they want a
sub-editor to exorcize the ghost in the machine or whether they think it would be better to permanently keep this out of the EG.

I don't think the moderation issue is a glitch or a bug. I think it is automatically triggering the filter because of a word or phrase. Maybe 'meth-heads'? Because it has once triggered the filter, it will continue to do so, and as soon as the mods check it, it will be back again.

I have no idea why it should look different in different browsers.

The moderation issue hits many Entries, and happens to the subs working on editing them too. I suggest you make a list of all the nitpicks that need editing and attend to them in one go ( and then refresh/preview and update)Make sure you always keep a back up copy of the whole thing, in case of accidents!

For now you need to read it through and change things like

WILL ROGERS ---->Will Rogers

The Population is very ----> The population is very

Area - 68,667 sq mi ----> square miles

'humorist' ----> [humourist]

The geographic center is eight miles -----> [centre]

Traveling ----> Travelling

Timothy McVeigh hatched a deadly plot- bombing the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. ----->

Timothy McVeigh hatched a deadly plot; to bomb the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.

I'd also suggest that the link goes to the whole phrase (from bomb right up to Building).

BLACK MESA ----> Black Mesa

Curley Mclain is trying to get Laurey go [go] out with him.

take out duplicate [go]

Will Rogers (1879-1935) Political Humorist ---> Humourist

If it disappears again - just be patient, it will come back.

The first Paragraph was there weeks before this problem started.
If you notice the first postings in Peer Review it was stated that the article was becoming Pear shaped so I rewrote the section on Black Mesa
and added in that section. It was at that point the glitch appeared. If it were some word wouldn't it trigger it every-time?
It only triggers about every other time. I will get to your changes on the 30th.

Hyperlinks for Kansas and Colorado, 2nd paragraph, not reading, at least for Firefox (also IE8, Opera, Chrome & Safari, I just checked).

Under Facts and Figures, only the hyperlink for the state flower is operating, if more were intended.

Under Geography and History, neither the Cimarron strip (the Oklahoma panhandle), or the south west corner of the state, (south of the north fork of the Red River) were parts of the original Indian Territory, but were ceded from Texas when Oklahoma joined the union as the 48th state.

Weather, If you're not prepared to cope with as much as 10' to 12' of ice building up on the ground seasonally as a consequence of alternating freezes and snows, thaws and rains, over the winter months, covering the curbs, forcing one to navigate on the roadways by guaging position against signposts and buildings (especially in residential districts), this may not quite the place to be.

Sympathies on the internet havoc. Its not limited to h2g2 and seems to have come up with the latest Java update. Suddenly Firefox and the AVG tool bar are clashing, search requests to google or the internal h2g2 search engine are being referred to AVG/Yahoo search... and the problem is more generalized than that.

Near as I can make it, there's a virus embedded in the latest Java update that copies 'C:\ ...' codes so that having printed it once, next it comes back as 'CC::\\ ...", then CCC:::\\\ ..." preventing registry keys from operating and cookies from setting properly, and eventually the server times out waiting for a code it can use. ('C' usually denotes the drive your computer boots from.)

Hyperlinks for Kansas, Colorado, if they were intended, still not coming up here, nor any hyperlinks under facts and figures except State Flower. Don't know what to suggest.

Iwent into IE8 and called up the article without signing in and saw whole sections missing.
I then gave it my BBCid sign in
and everything was there. 'Curiouser and curiouser said Alice'

Wierd. I tried cutting and pasting the GuideML into a new entry and previewing, and it looked fine. Entry is ok as seen using Google Chrome, but under my IE8 the sections from Destinations onwards are mainly blank, apart from the links
