A Conversation for Mornington Crescent - the Game
First game (Mornington Crescent)

I think we're getting needlessly apocolyptic now. The game's not even close to being over: I still have at least four moves left before I win. As for those hills and oaks - they're nothing if you know what you're doing. So saying, I move Witlesden Junction.

Tweezerfish, I really think you should check your copy of the rules and regulations a little more closely. The move to White City would be covered by clause 28b/5. Clause 27b/6 reads "the player is allowed the use of a pair of white Wellington boots, a hose, and a rubber chicken for no longer than half an hour on Tuesdays, and 45 minutes every second Wednesday in Autumn". I'm not sure why you've been on that particular page, but it may explain your confusion. Perhaps something to do with your penchant for water divining - ahh yes, know thine enemy! White City is a tricky move, but was neutralised by DGBB's move.
Bumboof, I salute the neat way you sidestepped my collections. Good move. But not good enough. Finish in four? Wrong. Oxford Circus, and finish in two. Beat that if you can!

Oh, you're good, Moonhogg, but are you that good? Only time will tell. Or someone from the future. In any case, I'll go Swiss Cottage. Maybe I can get myself a sandwhich there.

And/or some spelling lessons.

Swiss Cottage AND a sandwich? A very casual move. Perhaps too casual. What do you know that I don't? I could play Euston, and sound the hooter, but you've got me concerned. I'll plump for a three liner, Euston Square. Safety shot.

Ah-ha! It appears that I am on the offensive now, my dear Moonhogg. Now all I have to do is push you to the brink of insanity with my seemingly pointless and stupid but actually brilliantly calculated moves.
Hmm... perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself. In any case, I'll go Tufnell Park.
First game (Mornington Crescent)
Moonhogg - Captain Coffee Break Posted Apr 26, 2004
Okay, now I'm seriously confused. To have reached Tufnell Park, you'd have had to go THROUGH Mornington Crescent. What the hell are you up to?
Your offensive seems to have been too offensive - perhaps you were carrying too much momentum to stop? Wally! I'll try a King's Cross Slingshot, and attack with Chalk Farm. It's a race to the finish now!

All in good time, Moonhogg, all in good time. There is always a reason. For now, I move Leicester Square.

Ermm...
Picadilly. Twice. I think. err....

Ah, I've got you on the ropes now. The end is near, methinks. I'll move Camden Town and tighten the noose.

Moonhogg - Captain Coffee Break Posted May 4, 2004
Camden Town? Okay, he says, dusting himself off, Euston. Yes, Euston. Dare ya! Go on, Dare ya!
First game (Mornington Crescent)
DoppelgangerBumboof Posted May 6, 2004
Euston? Ha! How intriguing. I do think I'll pass on my turn, just to see what you're up to. I'll also have a cupcake while I'm at it. Chocolate, none the less.

MORNINGTON CRESCENT!! You fool, you fool! Passing from Camden Town! You had me there! And instead you succumbed to a chocolate cupcake!! What a wasted opportunity! Oh dear oh dear. I thought Tweezerfish might have played a move like that, but I thought I'd met my match in you! That's 2-0! Come on, see if you can get the next one. I'll let you start, and I'll even allow the Inverse Negative Rule to apply on your first three moves. Good luck!

But...but...my cupcake...
Oh well. It was worth it. It was, after all, a chocolate cupcake.
I guess I'll start off the next game then. However, I will have to respectfully decline your gracious offer. We'll go normal rules (for now), and I'll go North Wembley.

Sorry to take so long - just bought a car, and now my kitchen ceiling has collapsed! Busy life. Priorities now sorted. North Wembley, eh? Hah, distracted by cupcakes, eh? Hmmm... chocolate, no less.... mmmm.... chocolate....mmmmm.... Sorry, Homer Simpson moment there! Damn. Err, blast, forgot what I was doing there... ermm.. Hounslow Central. With a pair of earplugs. And safety goggles. And a hardhat. And a yellow workman's tabard.

(Snicker snicker)You've exceeded the Second Round Equipment Limit. Yes, it's obscure and not often used, but it's a rule nonetheless. You owe me four blue counters. Try again.

ROTFLMAO!!!!! Class!!
Okay, perhaps I was trying to carry too much. Erm.. you didn't specify where you were having the pub lunch - on your way, or actually at HW? No matter. Greenwich. On the line!

SORRY... I thought that it was someone else's turn for the last six days. Well, I think I'll pass on my turn anyway, since I'm feeling lazy. Plus, I have to get to know my new Smurf friends.

Moonhogg - Captain Coffee Break Posted May 20, 2004
Tsk tsk, SO easily distracted. I thought you were a professional. You should never let yourself be distracted by something so mundane - need I say "cupcakes"? So... (you don't have Smurfette there do you, by any chance? Ahhh... Smurfette.....hmmmmm......) -sorry. Okay then, as you passed, I shall invoke Regulation 184 Para 2.13.4, and claim Preston Road as a Green station for the duration. In light of this, I shall move to Kensall Green, and raise a Blue Flag.
