*spots Shiraz*
you know its a very funny colour when not in Goo. I'm not sure it looks entirely healthy myself. Perhaps I should hold off from hanging around here until I am safely back at home in a Goo environment.

Poor GD.
Its not a natural colour is it, can be very disorientating for a while, bit like this whole work thing

I've also noticed that my page doesn't work properly in Alabaster. I seem to have acquired a whose rotating in the wrong place. God knows how I fix that, I'll probably just put up a comment to say watch the page in Goo only.
*adds Shiraz to and wanders away for a bit*

Gosh you poor thing.
I know much of what gets posted up here is 80% b*****ks; smileys and falling over jokes etc; but that really is a bit more serious.
Through the 80% testicles [language change as moderator avoidance tactic] I've got to know a few bits and pieces about you, and you chucking up information like that shows how little I really know. As we seem to have this thread to ourselves do you fancy having a bit more of a serious chat about life and oneself and the rest of it?

Hi GD!
Why not! With the priviso that names etc may be changed to protect the innocent
I have been trying to think what I actually know about you and find that it is also remarkably little! I know you are a big footie fan, live in Brighton, you make me laugh and that your computer is on a grey desk - now that is very little.
I know you find my spelling irritating, the errors are not for want of trying - It takes years of practice to be this bad No, I *really* am dyslexic and decided a while ago that I would give up running all my postings through a spell checker as I can still make mistakes by using the wrong spelling of the right word if you see what I mean! To give you an example, I was once talking about the concept of soul mates with someone who in reply said that they had never been friends with a fish
Having rechecked out your space, if my football history is vaguely accurate we are about the same age and I have a sneaking suspicion that we do a similar kind of work! (Well OK so you work and I am cruising somewhat at the moment).
So ... What would you like to know?

To answer your question originally posted on Questions Only. Yes its under construction etc etc. I only post here and now because I've noticed that 2Legs/paperclip is getting into the swing of things for the evening and my original answer will just get lost in the backlog

... to save you hunting through, my post is 11477.
Of course you might be one of those people that actually reads 2Legs' mass postings of gibberish, in which case I say you are very brave, and have just a little too much free time on your hands

Hello LHG
Well to kick off if we are changing names to protect the innocent (or otherwise), you can start calling me Samantha. This has nothing to do with any sexual or dressing predilection I may have. It is just the name I would have had if I had been born a girl and I rather like it
You weren't that close on the what I do for a living question. My "total advertising plug" was put up because I work with the Personnel department, not as part of them. My real role is as finance manager in that hospital. The thing is I know just how excrutiatingly expensive recruitment can be, so I stuck up our recruitment e-mail address just in case.
I can't say that I am particularly enjoying working life at the moment. My boss is on my back a lot about my sickness record (chronic migraine sufferer) and later on today I go through the next stage of the disciplinary process. B*****ds. I know that the whole process is geared towards protecting their arse in case I decide to sue.
Well that's my little missive for the day. I'm now going to exercise one of the few perks in my job and pop off for a nice lunchtime walk along the beach
*finishes sherry and opens next bottle of shiraz*

Hello Samantha, or may I call you Sam?
It sounds like you are not having a good time at work at the moment The migranes cant be good either
I hate the fact that as HR people we sometimes have to do stuff like that. Have they offered you any assistance / support in identifting the causes of your headaches? There are some questions I have which may point to some routes that are opent to you, but
1) this is not the place
2) I dont want to waste your time with stuff you already know
If you would like to talk more about this you can email me at [email protected]
It must be lovely living and working close enough to the beach to just pop out for a walk there
* tries not to think about it too much as green really is not her colour *
* sips the wine and dreams of the beach *
