welcome terri & yoda
those are indeed fine qualifications
and don't bother about ancestry and bloodlines and stuff like that. i stopped doing that the day there was more than nordic blood in my veins
and that was long before yesterday
and anyway, being nordic is just a state of mind, really

The membership qualification as it stands on A614567:
"Actually you don't even have to LIKE Scandinavia - only to want to talk to people who admit to have an interest in talking to people who admit to have an interest in talking to people who admit to have an interest in talking to people who have an interest in Scandinavia."

Do I have to have that many interests - I mean, isn't Danish being enough handicap already??
Modelled after the classical joke -
- about the black guy sitting in a Copenhagen train reading Sydsvenska Dagbladet [a southern-swedish newspaper]. A passenger smiles and asks, out of common curiosity: "Excuse me - are you from Sweden?" The guy looks up: "What? Isn't enough that I'm black??"

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
