I had my 32nd birthday some three weeks ago and all I can say is, that having a whole lotta birthdays surely beats not having 'em!

There is this old saying, you know: Every age has its advantages - but when you have found out exactly what they are - it is usually too late...
I'm not sure if that is true for all of us, but I do catch the drift. Well, more or less, anyway...
No, Hati, I don't think I have problems with my age. I do however consider the possibility that this age may have some problems with *me*

Hi all, I´ve just been on a short trip to Copenhagen for the past few days, so that´s why I haven´t been around much... (Great trip by the way )
Welcome to Merdo and paul, great to have you with us
paul, I need to know where you originate from, where were you born? You know, so I can write : from Liverpool (but danish) or swedish or whatever...

Hello, St. Dax ... etc ... I think I understand why you have a fondness for all those dots!
There's a song which starts:
"I wish I was back in Liverpool
Liverpool town where I was born .... "
Liverpool is, of course, the centre of the world - everybody knows that - and that just about describes me!
Nyköbing Falster (with repeated apologies for the Swedish "ö"!!) runs it a pretty good second, I suppose: it must do, to persuade me to spend about 7 years there.
And, Pierce, with all due respect ......... !
Maribo may - possibly - have won awards for the best LAGER in Denmark. However, LAGER (being brewed with DEAD yeast) isn't the same as REAL BEER (brewed with LIVE yeast!). If I could figure out where all those logos everyone seems to use can be found, I'd send you a 'virtual pint' of our local brew from the ROBERT CAIN brewery - wonderful stuff! Cains, by the way, also have the UK distributors' rights for that most palatable nectar, FAXE FAD which they sell both bottled and on draught in their pubs around Liverpool ........

No offence, but if you are born and raised in Liverpool, then why in god name do you want to join the Scandinavian researchers club?
Okay... I will add you none the less...

Dax!!
OK?
(And when I find a solution for the danish version of "Ö" I'll be happy!!)

Aye, Paul, you are probably right about Liverpool, but Nykøbing Falster? I don't know. The best danish town for me has always been Aarhus (but if I returned to live there now I might be disappointed - who knows? )
I don't know much about brewing beer - but I am *very* experienced in drinking it, trust me The best beer I know is Flensburger Pilsner, BTW - but I'm not fussy if the beer is free
The logos are are called 'smikley's , by the way, and you can find them here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A155909
(you can of course also just point on one and it will reveal to you what you have to write between the brackets < and > in order to copy it)
This, for instance is how you create a stout:

What you mean is: 'smikley' is quite A lovely one... am I right?
Ah, well, there were actually THREE typos in *my* posting - can you ever forgive me?

Hati Posted Nov 5, 2001
Maybe I meant that, but anyway - it was not a typo as I never know where to put the article and where not. So that was just a mistake.
Of course I can forgive you, you make so lovely typos.

Stop all that smooching, you are drooling all over the place!
Is that Knut Hamsun-guy (the letter-quote a few posts back) also a Scandinavian - and when did he join the H2G2-team? (I do seem to recall having heard of another Scandinavian guy with just that name...)
Smikleys... Must love that.
