Mina

I might be there a little early - I'm arriving at 8.30am. I don't know whether to get a train to Alphen in the vague hope that people will have got out of bed by the time I get there, or if I should hang around Amsterdam until the day's activities start and be picked up on the way.

Ah yes - sorry about that Mina!

The stupid currency convertor site I went to must have been on the blink that night! I mentioned my surprise at the 1 Guilder/1 Euro conversion rate and TM said it was total rubbish. smiley - rofl

Still - can buy a few treats *and* not break the bank for Marijn smiley - somersault

Now, I have €180 euros left over from my holiday last year, is that going to cover a three day trip? How much is it to get into Efteling? Questions, questions, questions. smiley - winkeyesmiley - 2cents

Entrance fees
The entrance fee is ? 22.00 per person except for the Efteling Seven League Summer, when the entrance fee is ? 24.00 per person.

Over 60s and visitors with a handicap* (with a maximum of 2 escorts) pay ? 20.00 per person except during the Efteling Seven League Summer, when the entrance fee is ? 22.00 per person. Children under the age of 4 may visit Efteling free of charge.

* Handicapped means those whose condition is such that they are unable to visit the park without assistance.

BTW I seem to have about Gbp 7,- left from the wintermeet, so I am going to make the transaction a bit more complicated.smiley - evilgrin

Hi Mina smiley - smiley

Breezers cost 3 Euro's (don't have either a pound sign or a Euro sign on this keyboard - not that I've found anyway!) in HK and 3.50+ elsewhere. Beers from 1.50 in HK and a bit more in other bars. Pool on Saturday will be fairly cheap. It's about 20 Euro's per table per hour.
Admittance to Pool, Kwatro and HK on Sunday are all free. smiley - biggrin

The easiest way to get here is to catch the Interliner 370 from Schiphol plaza direct to (almost) our door. They are regular, take well under an hour and are easier than the train. They appear to leave at 16 minutes past every hour and should stop at Aalhorst which is about 100m from our house. You should still have my mobile number? Cost around 20E or cheaper if you buy a strippenkaart at the airport. If you buy a 45 one for 18,30E I'll buy the remainder off you anyway as I can use it. smiley - ok

It's raining! smiley - wah

Mina, in case you were wondering what happened with the old guilders, I took them to the Nederlandse Bank yesterday and exchanged them for Euros without problems.
In fact it took more time passing all the guards and checkpoints to get to the cashier, than was needed for the transaction itself.smiley - smiley

They are completely used to it. Even now they had two cashiers working, and every few minutes someone came in to have some guilders exchanged.

So if you find some more, it will be no problem, at least for the next ten, twenty years or sosmiley - ok
