h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Normally a peaceful cemetary, and not at all frightening by day, something has turned this spot into a stronghold of evil. Almost all the graves seem to have been dug up and emptied. Empty coffins lay scattered among foreboding looking tombstones. Not a very calm place anymore. There are several entrances and exits to the cemetary, but one in particular catches a traveller's attention. The one leading directly to the Heroville Cathedral, that is rarely used except for bringing in the dead to be buried. [Sharp]: *notices the cemetary by scanning the horizon using a borrowed spyglass*
" the sky there is all darlk like a storm is constantly brewing...(hey! There's some lightning!)...but the sky is so clear everywhere else pretty much..."
: "Ey, you! giv-'at back!"
[Sharp]: "I was only borrowing it(sheesh)...you know, just looking. "
*gives it back*
: "Nevar git between a shipsman & his spy-glass lad! landlubbers, yeesh!"
*Sharp goes his way*

actually lately the sky's been pretty dark everywhere ... ever since the zombies appeared ... should get back to normal if anybody's brave enough to come in here and take care of buisiness

*notices that large, archaic-form runes on it sayeth ' 'Tis not in the wyrd of the living...This be the path of the dead*
*Then notices: 'Beware'*
*'& etc.'*

[Sharp]: *Thinks he sees a spectral , roll down off the top of it.*
*notices that there were some crows, but that they all flew away.*
*@ once.*
*sees the rolling down the path, towards him.*
*shrugs*
*let's it follow him*
*leaves*

Gandark enters the cemetary warily ...

: So now what?
[Sharp]: "I'm ready when you (folks) are..."

[Sahrp]: *looks around*
: is there some sorta creepy fog...crawling across the ground,-say almost lazily?

[Sharp]: *notices some twisty,-kinda gnarled (& pretty much leafless) trees near some of the cemetary's edges, every so often.*
: Right?
[Sharp]: *holds his -scythe at the ready*

[Sharp]: *or at least thinks he notices them, since evry so often-the fog kinda obscures things...(or so he reasons)*

[Sharp]: "D@*n...wish I'd thought ahead to go an' bring some sort of a lantern..."

[Sharp]: *notices in retrospect,-that the hindsight is 20/20.*

[Sharp]: "Did anybody bring a lantern?"

[Anole]: You're a mage, create a light of magic.

[Sharp]: ", that's right, I'd forgotten how,...for awhile,-that's all"
*makes some excuses* trailing off...
*casts 'flames'*
"I can also get them to follow around us a bit...in circles kinda. It's a spell application-that I'd never really thought of-before..."
A flock of fiery s flaps about. It breaks itself into some smaller sub-groups. Each sub-group circles about, somewhat overhead & nearby each of the adventurers nearby (himself included).

[Sharp]: (to Gandark): "Oh and I'd almost forgot... Figured you might find some use for these yet..."
*gives Gandark the satchel w/ 5/the 15 classic round-type small bombs (& a of matches)*
(To Anole): "'Ere..."
*gives 5 more (& a of matches) to Anole*
*keeps the last 5 (& final of matches)*
"I'll save those fer laters..."

: Well...

[Sharp]: *looks around & sees some headstones a bit further away...& coffins...some sarcophagi...sepulchers...etc.* that seem to occasionally be poking up a bit out of the crawling fog.
" Hmm. Creepy..."
