For my dinner party........
I would have a guest celebity chef. I am a great cook, but would want the night off. I have to mingle.
He would cook plain wholesome food, but he would have to serve my meat cooked, none of this 'pink stuff'
And no chocolate in the my dessert.
Drink would be flowing, but not to the extent of everyone puking and forgeting the evening, afterwards.
No vodka
For entertainment value, I would invite Paul O Grady. Who has had an 'interesting' life and would have a lot to talk about. When he talks seriously, he is quite informative.
Also, Michael Parkinson, hoping he would talk about some of his tv show, guests over the years.
I reckon that Prince Albert (Victoria's hubby) would have been an interesting chap to talk to. He was such an influence in changing the way Britain was and improving things. Possibly with Thomas Telford to talk about his work as an architect and engineer. So much of what we have today is down to them.
Maybe have someone who could play a few tunes and have a sing song.
Brian May, Roger Daltrey, Keith Moon, Phil Collins, Freddie Mercury, Karen Carpenter, John Denver, Paul Simon and Neil Diamond would be my own personal supergroup.
As for a lesser known person being there. It would be me
As long as Michael Parkinson doesnt start going on about cricket, It should be a good night
