The problem is tht wimmin (and to prevent the slagging, I am one) don't actually have the range. We just cannot to falsetto (which Freddie was brilliant at and extended his possible range by about 2 octaves) We just get screechy and loud. I love to sing along...but in the privacy of my own home or when drunk. If a wumman has to sing a queen song, then it's just gonna have to be transposed for her to get a decent range, but as most of the songs cover several octaves we have no hope.
Ho hum.....wondering how much those "we will rock you" tickets are these days....

Zantic - for W.W.R.Y. tickets look on eBay (.co.uk) I think the face value is £45 each but I got mine on there for £40 each (some people had dropped out of a group outing). Just recently I saw that 4 tickets for a performance on boxing day sold for just £74! I have just had a look and there aren't any "cheap" ones going at the moment but it is always worth looking every couple of days to see if any have been added. Good luck!

ive seen a tribute band called magic a kind of queen twice now and i must say that they are brilliant.the lead singer makes no appology for not looking like freddie or sounding much like him but he says that they are a tribute band not a look-a-like or sound-a-like group.
good show worth seeing.

Zantic - have a look at ebay now (Item # 1941835832). If you want to see the show on Boxing Day I'd get in there quick! The auction finishes on 07-Dec-02 15:40:44 GMT.

*runs in, after collecting all the newbies` usernumbers*
Hey poeple, I'm here!
Now I'm here, Here I'll stay around around around around....
I'm back for a while to update as many of my clubs as I can - Goo club's done, This will be in a minute or so, and I'll have to have a time machine to get it all done with my busy schedule!
On the subject of music though, have you noticed the band 'The Coral'? Their new song 'Dreaming of You' is reminiscent to the style of Madness, slapstick, in a way, but yet great to listen to, I have 4 of their songs on Mp3 here, and they're not a bad listen!
I think they're one of a great show of talent in a long time from here in Liverpool *makes a rude gesture at the likes of 'Atomic Kitten' and the other pop-related groups who started from Liverpool* *
And Might I take this opportunity to say how priveleged the h2g2 Queen Fan Club Owner, is, and hopefully, members are, to welcome an italic to its memberlist! Thanks Jim

Staying with the point of Music, (as we do in this conversation ), I recently ordered the Manic Street Preachers' DVD: Forever Delayed from Amazon.co.uk the other day, and apart from it being sent via Royal Mail, It's not half bad - If you like a few of their songs, but don't quite consider yourself a fan of the Manics, I reccommend you get yourself a copy of the CD or DVD - Apart from their earlier apparent 'punk-esque' stages, their other songs are pretty good, too
(Of course, they don't match up to the likes of Queen. Or in fact, let me rephrase that, they don't match up the the best band in the world, Queen. )
