Try the IEEE website - most of those specifications are either created by or have passed through the IEEE.

Wiro Posted Sep 2, 2003
erm is there any way to look at anything without having to subscribe? to IEEE

Ion the Naysayer Posted Sep 2, 2003
Hmmm... I apologise, I'd forgotten about that. I think their are copies of the specifications at the Engineering Library on my Campus. It's a possibility you might be able to get ahold of them from a similar source...

Root around for a copy of "The Computer Hobbyist's Handbook", published by Babani in the 1980s - I had a copy, and it covered all the interfaces that existed at the time, both the spec and the physical connectors. If you're scouring the library, it's a (just-)sub-A4 paperback, about 1cm thick, with a *very* green cover and a picture of an Amstrad 1512 PC on the front.
