Well done, Beatrice smiley - ok

>>Being to the east of the Gulf of Suez means that it is technically geologically part of Asia, although some travel insurers will class Egypt as Europe, their definition being "it's on the Med".<<

- I gather, (I think) that Dahab is on the Sinai Penninsula? That makes it Asia (and not Africa). But the rest of Egypt is African.

Anyway, what I'm saying is that the above sentence is ambiguous, because it sounds like it says that Egypt is part of Asia, though some insurers consider it Europe. Actually, Egypt is part of Africa. smiley - huh

Thank you. I've corrected those spelling errors, and removed "geologically" from that other sentence - does that read more clearly now?

It sounds delightful! Maybe one of these years... smiley - surfer

Could you please include temperatures in Farenheit as well? 50 = ~122, 23 = ~73.

The almost guaranteed cloudless sky >> almost-guaranteed

Double quotes " should be single quotes '

Could you explain humous and tahini?

Thanks - I found a gudie entry on hummous to link to!

House style suggests I should say 50 tag&deg C, but I can't seem to make that work! Can anyone wiser than me help me out here?

Can't you use the degrees symbol in your text?: 50°C?

Good work, Beatrice! smiley - applause

Just one thing bothers me a little. Towards the end you say that 'It [Dahab] has been listed among the 10 Must-See places in the world.' I don't doubt that this is true, although I have to admit that I'd never heard of Dahab before reading your entry. But when was Dahab thus listed, by whom, and can you provide a link to prove it?

Post 12

Beatrice

Oooh, I'll try to find it - I think it was The Times, about a year ago, listing places that ought to be visited before they were no more or changed completely. But yes, the source ought to be quoted.

Blimey give us a chance!

I did find the book yesterday - Incredible things to do before you die. But I'm sure it was on another Top 10 list too, that I can't track down - you wouldn't believe how many Top Ten Must See lists there are in internetland...smiley - headhurts

I didn't mean to rush you, Beatrice. It's just that, well, you never know, there might be Scouts hanging around smiley - lurk thinking that 'this entry is nearly ripe for picking', what with it almost having completed a week in Peer Review. It'd be a shame to keep them waiting...smiley - whistle

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
