A Conversation for Talking Point: What Are you Scared Of?

Dying

The Apprentice

Fear of the act of dying or activities that might lead to a sticky end. I long believed, for example, that I had a fear of heights, but I think it's the end result of falling from a height that may have more to do with it. I don't like giving blood, dread the thought of operations, cringe at the thought of being sedated, etc. which might come across as a fear of the sight of blood or hospitals... but again, dying comes in there somewhere. In many ways simple fears, as opposed to outright phobias, have more to do with a dread of the consequences of something than the actual occurence of something. People with phobias tend to have no explanation for their fear - I knew someone who had a phobia about birds and they quite simply could not go near them, but could never explain why. People with fears tend to know why they feel that way - looking over the edge of a tall building makes you think about the bottom, handling a venomous snake makes you think about being poisoned, etc.

Am I just babbling now...?

I have no fear of dying and have had some nice dreams on that subject but then again this is from a person that used to dream about flying so...

Flying is one of the most common occurances in dreams (as is falling, and dying)

Flying: Representative of the dreamer's ambition. If you soared effortlessly, you'll achieve your goal... if flying was difficult, there will be some hurdles to overcome. A dream of flying may also symbolize the dreamer's delight over a recent accomplishment.

Falling: Symbolic of a basic (largely subconscious) fear that the dreamer has yet to come to terms with...

Death: If you dream of death only occasionally, it's just a reaction to an unpleasant event, but if you repeatedly dream of your own death, a medical checkup is in order. Studies have shown that such dreams often signal a cardiac condition of which the dreamer may be unaware.

Burial: (A dream of contrary) If you attended a burial, expect news of a wedding or birth. A dream of being buried alive, however, is a warning against unethical behavior and the temptation to underestimate a business opponent.

Cemetery: (A dream of contrary) A clean, well-kept cemetery heralds unexpected good news. If the cemetery was run down or overgrown, a bit of bad luck may precede the good. A coffin is almost always a negative symbol, and seeing yourself inside one implies repression or defeat.

Funeral: (A dream of contrary) seeing or attending a funeral forcasts good news and possible monetary gains.

the thing people realy have to over come with out of body is the fact that you can go in all 4 dimentions including time.

When you visit a place there realy is no garentee that it will be today (or your perseption of today).

You got to think of it as follows...

If your body can't pass though walls in a gay abondon but your 'energy' can, then just because your body can't travel though time dosn't mean your spiret can't, Oh and Time only ever exists were there is gravity and gravity only efects mater (or your body).

Okay this is the full story smiley - smiley

A good friend of mine was going to live in the Isle of Man... she had viewed 2 cottages and was not sure which one to rent.. She asked me to have a dream on her behalf .... Of course I replied thats not possible.. But it did happen. In the dream I was in a cottage looking at the sea view from the lounge window...
Later I received an invite to visit her and as we pulled up outside the cottage I looked at her and she just smiled rather knowingly...
In we goes ....I walked straight to the window and of course everything was much that same as in the dream.....BUT a wall was missing which would have been between the Hallway and lounge?
Now I saw that in the dream...but when I visited it wasnt there ?
My friend had known I had described the cottage in detail, so she asked the owners was a wall there originally? Yes it had been ! they removed it a few years previous....How can this happen that I can dream it with the wall there ? Thats the part that puzzles me !
" Hope some one can shed light on this " smiley - erm

so you don't think that your spirit vised there then? because if you think that you dreamed it then perhaps you were there in a previous life.

Why question the similarities between your dream and the present house... Its amazing that your dream was so accurate about the original design...

This is going to sound far out there, but stick with me...
Some say that every object gives off energy (an Aura)... some people are able to detect Auras better than others, and Auras can communicate a lot of information if you know how to read them...
Unually when you see an Aura first hand, it appears as "wavy colors" (thats the best I know how to describe it) - you can also feel Auras (kinda tingly and warm)... but in a "Preminision Dream State" your brain may read Auras differently, and create visual pictures...

Lets say for a minute, you were able to focus your energy enough to read the Aura of an inanimate object (very difficult to do)...
The result would be a visual, detailed picture of the house...

An Aura can also leave behind a "Residu"... (some say that Ghosts are this "residu" left behind by the aura of the deceased)... You can also pick up traces of Residual Aura left behind by objects that were once there but aren't anymore (are you following me)... For Example, A friend of mine can see these things easily. One day she was driving down the road and saw a Cop Car sitting by the side of the road, and she blinked and it was gone... There had been a cop sitting there the day before (but she didn't know that, she hadn't been down that road the day before - her husband had, though, and they put the pieces together)...

Sooo, Perhaps you were perceiving the "Residual Aura" of the house in its original State...

I also have one more scenario that fits into the one above... you know that they say that if they were to send a TV broadcast out into space... Aliens who live light years away would pick it up someday... but by the time they pick it up, so much time would have passed that the broadcast would be irrelevant (Right now they may be picking up Baseball games from the '40s or something)... anyway, my point is that Messages Take Time to get to where they're going...

If you were trying to pick up the "Energy Message" from the house, you would logically see an image of the past...
(i.e: If you were to look up at the sun [Note: I don't advise anyone to go look directly at the sun] you would not see the sun in it's current state... you would actually see the sun as it was 8 minutes ago, because of the time it takes Light to travel the distance between the sun and the earth - Its the same principal as the Aura thing).

Have I totally confused you... It all sounded good in my head...

Thankyou for taking the time to reply and with such a knowledgeable answer...smiley - smiley I found it very interesting and I do understand more now.... Its just most of the dreams I have experienced have been exact and the previously discussed one wasnt...
In one dream I visited a rather large victorian or edwardian house ?which had stone pillars to the entrance porch and carving plaques on the inner walls and as I was shown round it had floor after floor after floor! What a viewing it was ...
After 4years My Husband and I went to visit his Aunt and Uncle in Hammersmith and when we stopped outside their house I was suprised to say the least......it was the house in my dream..... It was the first time I had ever been to London too!
As to all my dreams been quite this way ...exact ...maybe you can see now why I was so puzzled re: the cottage......
You have been really helpful ...... "Thankyou smiley - smiley

You're Welcome... I was hoping it didn't sound like a bunch of rambling nonsense...

Maybe the Victorian/Edwardian house had never been drastically changed... and so your dream was more accurate to the present...
