Do you have a set time for tossing the coin TDiD? (We might be accidentally guessing yesterdays toss!)
You probably should have a control condition too. I don't really think I'm lucky or unlucky. I don't think there is such a thing as an innately 'lucky' person anyway. What you might get is someone who makes the best use of the cards life deals them and so is correspondingly more successful than someone who doesn't. They would then appear 'lucky' I guess.

Comments on the system - Everytime I do one of these updates I toss a coin to decide which side of the coin I use until the next update. Unfortunately these means you can only guess once between updates. I realised I can't always be sure when I'm getting onto H2G2 so I figured by putting in these updates I was making things as easy as to organize as possible.

Whether you feel lucky or not is down to human instinct. I was trying to think about how to put a control on it but then I realise it's more about how optomistic you are. If you can think of any ways to put a criteria onto luck it would help but I quite like the cross we're getting between a persons opinion and an event which they cannot physically effect. It shows a certain "leap of faith" in statistical terms but is just a bit of funin every other term.

Cheers for the feedback Cabby (well done on getting to the top of the Hall of Fame) and any other ideas would be most welcome!!
