Alright, so that's a long title...
Terri sent me and I decided it would be quicker to open a new thread than to go through all the others and find one my complaint fits in.
There are these dolls that younge girls throughout the country love and adore and have there parents spend money on.
The slogan that they use in their commercial, directed at young impressionable girls is... are you ready?...
DON'T THEORIZE, ACCESSORIZE!!!
Does that make anyone else feel homicidal?

When i was at "that" age (ie about 9 or 10) we only had a choice between Sindy or Barbie or Tressy.
Tressy had a bloody great hole in the back of her head, so you could make her hair grow, sorta "My Little Pony" thing.
Barbie was just impossibly ridiculous figere, 
s like just do not exist & stupid grin, even at that age i 
Sindy was 
, well my one was anyway. She was reasonably proportioned female doll & went on LOADS of adventures in the garden, safari (with well constructed hut) ice skating, sporty stuff; murdered many many small creatures; te he, me & Sindy had a great time!

Ah more!!! My little brother just watched this music video with a sex scene and the man in the scene was fully clothed while they were having tv sex and the woman was naked... the guy was even wearing a sweater

Barbie got in a lot of trouble for being lousy with math, or so I've heard, but it seems the Bratz slogan has gone largly unnoticed.

The Bratz thing is a total pain, but simply merchandising, any grrl is going to think "hey, what is this garbage?"

It was almost like a fever with very young girls here though, it probably still is for all I know. I think it's a very bad sign that no one seems to have noticed it, and that so many people by them for their children...
I have a 7 year old cousin (technically her mom is my cousin) who loves them and has tons!
(Garbage is an alright band, I'm not too familiar with them though.)

Can't, people sleeping and it's quarter to two in the morning... I will keep it in mind for a more "reasonable" time of day... or night.
