I'm glad you like it. smiley - ok

I've been a long time fan of Cascade and Boags (even before they became fashionable).

In recent times I've become rather attached to Tooheys Old. smiley - stout

Ah As a card carrying Victorian I am not allowed to drink T**heys. (not even allowed to spell it, as you may have noticed!)
How about Coopers? they make an awesome pale ale!

I am also a card carrying Victorian..... but if anyone tries to tell me what smiley - ale I can or cannot drink, they're likely to get a swift kick up the smiley - bleep. Tooheys Old rocks!!!!!

I smiley - love the Coopers Pale and Sparkling smiley - ales!! Another fave is "Little Creatures Pale smiley - ale" from WA. smiley - ok

Just a question - when Aussies are overseas, why is it that they buy Aussie beer? I can never understand that. I'd much prefer to try the local stuff.

if you spend more than 30 seconds in the US you'll be preying for an Oz beer of any sort, even Fosters! (Yes! As shocking as that is) US beer couldn't get an Oz sheila pissed let alone us blokes not to mention that they mostly taste like water with the hops only waved in it's general direction! Europe is another story however!

Avenging Washcloth, An unhurried sense of time is, in itself, a form of wealth.

smiley - erm

Not *all* US smiley - ale is like water. The major national brands, yes, I agree that Fosters tastes better, but more and more small breweries are filling the gulf nicely, thank you very much.

smiley - cheers

Well, I did spend two weeks in Hawaii a few years back. My mate and I filled our fridge with half a dozen of every beer we could see that we hadn't tried before. Our friends, in a spearate room, filled their fridge with Fosters! I won't drink Fosters when I'm at home, why the smiley - bleep would I suddenly take a liking to it when I'm overseas. Millers is quite a nice drop. There was another which we liked but I can't remember its name. While you're right in saying that they would have trouble getting an Aussie sheila pissed, it's worth drinking it just to get into a session with yanks who think they'll be able to drink you under the table. Plus, there's always bourbon if you want to get pissed.

And what is this obsession which people seem to have nowadays with Crown Lager? It's hugely expensive and, to my humble palate, absolute rubbish!

Imagine my dismay last weekend when I sent a bloke off to get supplies for the BBQ underway and he came back with a slab of Crown and a slab of that Sterling stuff! It was all I could do to stop myself from topping him there and then! luckily he spent his own money so we went on a mission and returneg with glorious green boxes of Coopers! (Whew it was close, and I still have a dozen Sterling in my fridge and my fridge isn't happy!
