Mort - a middle aged Girl Interrupted

i get incapacity which is about 160 something (I think) a fortnight and then disability allowance which is 120 a month but is for travel to hospital and docs cost (cos I have to get taxis to hospital appointments which is 17.00 plus 7.00 for the docs, plus additional medical requirements etc etc)

So yeah smiley - sadface cash in hand is nearly as much as utility bills are.

And they still want me to find 50 quid a month for council tax (that is taking into account benefits etc smiley - wah)

Yeah - that is what I say everytime I get a bill. - Well to be honest it is usually effing basturts.

Don't mind paying for what I use but I object to the "we changed computer mistake 2 years ago, so you owe us 300 quid but we did't tell you - it is the computers fault" and 7 days later the letter that said - "oops we have got you as moved out - doh, someone cancelled the wrong Council Tax account so you owe us for another 6 months even though the last bill you had in January said you only owed 40. Have a nice day!"

After a while it gets so silly that I am convinced I am in a Tom and Jerry cartoon.

If I jumped out of the window I would probably bounce!

Anyway - if some of you go on hols to the beach for the weekend then we will just have to have another meet soon after for the poor people smiley - winkeye

Dr E Vibenstein (You know it is, it really is.)

Is that a resounding "no" to the Berwick idea then?

If so, where should we have the grand Fifth Anniversary Meet? Edinburgh would seem to be the logical choice for historical reasons, but then again we haven't had a meet in Glasgow since... smiley - erm about 1974. Or so it seems.

Ku'Reshtin (Bring the beat back!)

I'm back in the doldrums of having absolutely b***er-al cash after the exhaust pipe on my car decided to pack it in.
So Glasgow would be a good choice for the meet as it'd mean less travel cost for me, hence more money for drink. smiley - smiley

*Checks social diary and financial plans for August.*

Bum. Looks like I'll have to wait even longer 'afore my first 'proper' SRG-meet.

But the anniversary we're supposed to be celebrating is the first weekend in August. smiley - erm That's not to say we won't have another meet in September or October... smiley - drunk

You could do it like the Queen... the actual anniversary and an official one.

Ku'Reshtin (Bring the beat back!)

Dammit.. Of course you had to choose the one weekend in August when I can't make it..
My mom and her friend will come over to visit over that weekend.
I know it's the 5 year anniversary of the first SRG meet on the first weekend in August, but could we not postpone it one weekend? Cause that way I could come along as well... smiley - wah
