Don't you just hate those little buggers? Smarmy little gets, so they are - I was bowling one night with friends, and it so happened I got a gutterball. The 'little angel' in the next lane thought it was hilarious, and kept putting me off all night so I got gutterball after gutterball

The bumpers on the sides of the lanes are cheating. The risk of hitting a gutterball is what makes bowling fun. It's no fun if you know that every time you hurl the ball down the lane you'll hit something. I refuse to play on a lane with the bumpers.

I've bowled twice and can get 9 out of ten (gutterballs that is - isn't that the aim, to get as many of those heavy balls into the gutters? Ah well)

There's no point in begin offended, EV. These are people who play "bowling" with the guards up which is a bit like playing football with the ball tied to your feet.

If I can get my shifts shuffled round, I might manage to appear too.

I've played 10-pin before (without the bumpers even), might even talk Wowbadger into showing up and demonstrating what you missed by waiting until after we left the Standing Order before mentioning bowling.
