The name Ace Rimmer is all sorts of wrong!!!
I DO know a pilot out here, though... He works at the Student Publications Office with me and I told him about my big news break last week. Students were going to vote on a ballot for clean energy, which would be powered by wind turbines at the Wyoming border.
He was all, "You can see those from the plane. We should fly over them...."
Hee hee.
Anyway, love... I'm not frollicking on the beach any time soon.... especially since I'm in Colorado.
Oh and I've given up on the guy I was crazy about. Hung out with him and a couple friends the Thursday night before last. Oh Lord. That boy does like to smoke.... and not just tobacco....
Plus he and some other very cute girl are all twitterpated. Which is how it should be. He and I are great friends, but there are times when he and I just don't quite get what the other's saying. Must be the Virgo and Pisces factor.
ANYWAY!!! Another person I very much like is going to be back from his studies in Guadalajara today!!! YAY!!!!

I'm afraid that if D doesn't like Ace Rimmer, and I know what she means about the name and how could such an innocent lady know about the crudeness of rimming, I'll never know, in fact I had to explain what it meant to my RLGF when it was refered to on tele the other day but the Innocence of 80's British sci-fi comedy came up with Ace'what a guy'Rimmer before rimming entered the British consciousness. Red Dwarf will always hold my heart before naughty night-time activities. And so it should be.

Cute guy from Guadalajara is wonderful, but! He wants to teach Spanish or French in Europe some day, and I don't think I belong in Europe.
The Mediteranean, Turkey... that I'm willing to try... but I don't know if I could make that my home... ::sigh:: A year or two, possibly.
It's not so much that I have FAMILY here who really needs me.... but this is home.
And if I hear one more person say, "You're just staying cause it's comfortable and you need to take a risk and get some independence and suffer a little," I will smack them.
That's what Ian's been saying. He and I went at it because he thinks I'm an idiot for staying in college another semester to continue working at the paper. He said I hadn't been working hard enough on promoting myself as a writer. And that I deserve more money than what the paper pays.
Idiot. Creating story ideas for two Denver newspapers, contacting 26 publishers about my book, entering a handful of writing competitions, and attending a freelance seminar in the span of six months WHILE in school, WHILE working on the weekends at a miserable job, WHILE helping around the house and WHILE taking care of my mother and my brother and that one little person called myself isn't enough!??
Thank GOD I'm not dating Ian anymore... ::sigh::
Sometimes, I tell you, like times like this, I am so grateful to be single. But mostly lately I've missed having someone.
Take a risk? Get some independence? Suffer a little? I did that with YOU, Ian.
Anyway.
::sigh::
I feel much better.

All out? Good.
You're just staying cause it's comf.........
Oh wait, you said not to say that.
There's always time in the future to go to the mediteranean, if there is one thing that I've learnt from the Spanish is that there is always time.
