a few clows short of a circus
the wheel is spinning, but the hamster's dead
as quick as molasses running uphill in winter
as sharp as a marble
not the sharpest tool in the shed
not the brightest bulb on the tree
as quick as a herd of turtles running through peanut butter
four quarters short of a dollar
a few french fries short of a happy meal
if i gave him a penny for his thoughts, i'd get change back
