As of last night the NZ$ was about 29 or 30p.
Money shouldn't be much of a problem once you're here
To avoid language problems just avoid the Wellington area

Yeah, heard it before Six7s. It's still good though!
Last time I went to Aucka-loompa-land it was still full of Aucklanders....and that was only a month ago.....
And it's a lovely day here today, barely any wind
Jesi

Doesn't the weather make such a digfference
I've lived in Auckland and Wellington and I think they're both brilliant places, to live in and just visit
Wellington I like cos the theatre and music industries are so vibrant and there is so much within walking distance from the centre
Auckland I like cos it's got the Hauraki Gulf *and* the wild west coast beaches within reasonable (admittedly driving) distance

I haven't been to Auckland for over a year and Wellington in about ten years. I like both places but Auckland just isn't how I remember it when I was little.
As for weather, this winter in Rotorua has ararently been the worst in memory, brrr. I'm more used to warm beach weather an hour north of here.
