OK, I've done a new picture. I hope the eds will apply it to the original Entry tomorrow. If they do, then this picture can be used on the Update as well. It's not great, but has the problems of the original picture removed.

The mistake on the map was pointed out on 10 August, 1999. So hopefully we'll get that fixed today, more than 10 years later.

What it says in the entry is:
He broke the near monopoly that was held by a German cartel by buying the products that they were selling at a reduced rate to force him into bankruptcy, and then selling them in other countries.
I have no idea what that means. Without the input of the author I suggest we change it to:

Where would that best be inserted, Shagbark? Or shall I make a new section?

I've tried to incorporate Shagbark's temperature changes but it doesn't read right to me. Perhaps someone else can take a look? A62644485

I'm not quite sure what he means by "reaching early morning temperatures in midwinter in single digits" I would have thought "descending" was a better word

Do you mean this bit?
These averages drop quickly during September and October, reaching early morning temperatures in midwinter in single digits climbing to the upper 20s by afternoon.
---->These averages drop quickly during September and October; early morning temperatures in midwinter [fall to single digits and climb to the upper 20s by afternoon].
(noting that all these temperatures are quoted in Fahrenheit - maybe they should be in Centigrade? What are the guidelines for temperatures? I can't equate the two systems in my head)
Very low temperatures are rare but do occur, though only in deep midwinter.
It doesn't say what a 'very low temperature might be' Perhaps there should be an example?
Spring and Autumn are in between, usually around the 50s or 60s.
Is this a daily high or a low? And it should say Fahrenheit, or change to the equivalent in Centigrade?

I don't have the time to work out all the conversions, I was supposed to be doing something else this morning, but wanted to get this out of the way. I guess I'll leave it until Shagbark logs in tonight, difficult trying to converse with someone on a different timezone but there's nothing we can do about that.

OK thank you Gnomon, I can add those but we still need Shagbark to verify lanzababy's comments:

It had been so long since I did this I had to look it up.
In C my post would look like
t would be better to say afternoon temperatures in July range between 21-27 C, morning lows around 16C . These averages decrease rapidly during September and October and reaching early morning temperatures in midwinter in around -12 rising to -2C by afternoon.
On 15 January ,2009 it had a high of -12C and a low of -22C.
