*Microwave* a gourmet dinner? Geez!
I caught you on that one. You probably would have deducted smileys if we had used the microwave.

Don Alfredo Posted Jul 27, 2001
5 courses, are you going crazy.
As far as I now gourmet it's just one course. You put the meat, salades and other food on the table and then you start eating for an hour of four/five.
I suppose this is the english way.

Indeed Don Alfredo!
This is NOT a Dutch-style Gourmet Meal, but a should be a feast fit for royalty! No expense spared!

d'Elephant. The meal should certainly NOT be prepared using a microwave but, depending on when you intend eating it, it may be that not all of you are able to attend at the same time. In that case, and that case ONLY, you may reheat a dish previously prepared by one of your colleagues.
Of course... it may be that there is a quite simple way around the problem

BTW Don A, I think you are thinking of a Buffet, where all the food is laid out on tables and everyone helps themselves.
Gourmet is the uppity meal which you would have at a very, very expensive Hotel/Restaurant where you sit and are served each course.

Hi Infinity
A 'Gourmet' meal in Holland comprises of a salad and a very hot grill pan onto which you put various meats, onions, mushrooms and peppers.
It is something akin to an indoor BBQ without the fumes... and very tasty if lasting far longer than the average meal.

Yay! I learned something new.
Actually that sounds so good, can't we just get Alfredo to do five of those?

mmmm....food...*grin*
So - a five course meal...which courses are there? Is there a set order, or do we have to make it up? I know there's soup, entree, main, dessert, and then is there something else afterwards? Or something before? If it were after, it'd be "coffee and port and cheese", wouldn't it? And if it were before...just finger food? Is there a rule for this kind of thing?
*feeling uncultured*

It's entirely up to you
You're the ones eating it
Try thinking soup, fish, meat(or vegitarian),dessert, cheese.
Remember to order drinks to complement the dishes.
