Why is this called the Chi Square system ?

I think you need to re-write the paragraph explaining how to use the results table. I had to read this half a dozen times before I could work out if your sample had failed the test or not.

By picking a number that can only give variations are you not influencing the result in favour of your test ? As 100 is not devisable by 6 there has to be a variation in the table, surely using 102 tests would provide a more signiticant result ?

Speller - If I can help somebody...

Yes... I got lost somewhere about standard deviation smiley - erm - that's probably part of the reason I failed my A-Level Maths... (twice!)...smiley - ok

You are using a little Guide ML for the footnote - could you use headers (text</HEADER&gtsmiley - winkeye to split up your text into more manageable chunks with a header or just use paragraphs?
I think it would make it easier to digest smiley - cake

I'll try bending my head around the text again....smiley - run

Ok, I've done a couple more finishing touches... how do I acknowledge your help?

Gnomon - time to move on

I don't think this entry explains things at all. I think somebody who didn't know the subject would end up more confused after reading it. You throw in all sorts of things without explaining them:

"The reason it’ll resemble a bell is that most frequencies of frequencies will be close to the expected frequency, 16.6667, with a few farther away."

That does not explain anything, because you haven't said what "resembling a bell" means. Is it very heavy, circular and resounds at a particular frequency?

You have to write h2g2 Entries on the assumption that the person reading the entry knows nothing about the subject.

I'm not sure I understand this entry, and I'm in the final year of a maths degree... I think I get what you're trying to say in most places, but some bits confuse me. Do you want me to have a read through and try to re-word some confusing bits for you?

Where should I acknowledge people's help on my entry?

Gnomon - time to move on

You can acknowledge people's help by adding credits using a special piece of GuideML, but I think you'd better get the entry sorted out first. Let's wait until everyone's happy with it.

Are there any other things that need illustration, would you say?

I don't think that diagram helped much.

That's why I made two diagrams.

Gnomon - time to move on

I'm not going to comment on this entry anymore, because my attempts to get you to make it readable are only resulting in you making it even more cryptic and confusing.

Am I the only reviewer who thinks this is not suitable for the Guide as it stands?

What, specifically, do you not understand?

For a start, "The reason it’ll resemble a bell is that most frequencies of frequencies will be close to the expected frequency, 16.6667, with a few farther away." is very hard to understand - the word 'frequency' appears three times and gets confusing smiley - sadface And why 16.6667? Surely it's 16.6 recurring? And why that number in particular?

Alright, I'll work on that sentence; your first question: I didn't know you could say "such and such reccuring"; I'll do that. Second question: I was continuing the earlier example. I will specify.
Thank again. Another link to the entry, so you can see what I did in case I didn't just make it more complicated, follows: A5819925

It still doesn't explain how you arrived at the value of 16.66666... could you include the calculation, or is it horribly complicated?

Phrases like "you divide all possible frequencies of all possible solutions by all posible solutions" are still confusing - is there a better way of wording things like that?

How about replacing "all possible frequencies of all possible solutions" with "number of trials"?
I've done that now, so you can see it in context.
