I think that Alec Stewart made the only decision possible to concede the match, however I worry that this may set a precident. If the supporters of an international cicket side think they're going to lose, will they now contemplate a pitch invasion as a way of forcing the opposing captain to concede the game and thus secure victory fot thier side? I sincerely hope not as this would completely destroy the spirit of the game. After all the corruption scandles this is the last thing that cricket needed!

well one would hope not. I think once the ICC has formalised crowd control measures hopefully this will be sorted out. What it does point to is the rise of gameship in a game that is traditionally associated with fair play!

Very true but that has slowly been infecting the game for years- batsmen not walking, sledging and so on. It's a reflection of how competitive life has become today.

Batsmen not walking is my one pet hate... if you know you are out you should just walk!
