I've been there (southern outskirts of Munich), and I had a very clear (non-)view of the sun. The clouds vanished just at the right time and took their time to return afterwards. Veeery impressive!!

Arg that's not fair. I was just to the south east of the city and misses it my this much *mahes demonstration of small ammount with fingers*.
Did you get any photograpghs?
The darhness though was like something out of Indapendence day. You really get the impression of a circulkar BIG shadow moving across the earth. Fantastic.

Of the eclipse today. In fact when the BBC one got working that was really very good. The eclipse was just beautiful.
