The h2g2 Poem: 'Worry'

0 Conversations

Worry

In the very early morning when others
are asleep

a little tiny worry into my mind
does creep.

It sits and niggles, making me wonder

It grows and it bothers me, getting
much larger

I want reassurance but none is around,

The world is all sleeping with hardly
a sound.

So I sit there and worry myself
to despair

A friend would see reason if they
were there.

Finally it brings itself to a head,

as I sit there and cuddle the toys
on my bed

I find a distraction to ease my mind,

something to do for a little time.

Then, when the time comes, I drift off
to sleep

The worry comes rushing back from
the deep.

I awake in the morning and share
it with a friend

they make sure I know the worry will
end.
