Of course we'd all cast David again if we could! He was great! but what if they wanted someone else?
I shan't write out my list again cos its all on my homepage in my journal. Sorry!

yeah Richard Briers for the book, he's so funny. did you see him in Monarch of the Glen?
How bout Mel Gibson for Ford - he's not the tallest of people, and he has fantastic blue eyes(like in Braveheart).

I know what you mean. Someone with buckets of personality. David has lots of that, but, 'shrugs' we can't really have him, can we?
dunno about Mel Gibson...hmmm.
I'll have a re-think. Might have a look on the imdb database.

you know, I can't think either. Actually, recently I've had a rethink on this. I worked out Simon Jones must've been about 30 when he played Arthur, that means we're looking for someone around that age and maybe slightly younger for Ford, in which case, Robert Lindsay (who I suggested to play Arthur) is too old.
I really haven't got a clue for Zaphod or Arthur or Ford anymore.
You realise that if we can think of anyone to play them who's about 30 something it means there must be a severe shortage of acting talent within that age group at the moment?
