Anyone watching/listening to Henman?
Inanna has a theory - it could be bunnies. Started conversation Jul 2, 2001
Just wondering if any other fans were listening or watching Henman against Martin? And feeling as despairing as I am?
Looks like he'll be joining Greg and Sampras on the sidelines.... *Siiiigh*
Who wants to console themselves by sharing with me?

*passes over *
I /hope/ it's cream. That's what they told me in the refreshment tent.
*listens avidly to Radio Wimbledon as it looks like Henman might just break back..*

*siiiiiigh*. No, he didn't. Shouldn't expect it of a Brit really... Martin'll take this third set I'd imagine.

I'm watching the highlights now! Unfortunately, I know you were right about the third set, Inanna. Do you think Henman will manage to make a comeback when the match resumes tomorrow?

I really do hope so.. *sighs*. Especially now that Sampras is out of it, it would be so wonderful if Henman were to win. Unlikely, but wonderful.
They were hypothesising on Radio Wimbledon that he'd got a trapped nerve, or perhaps a pulled muscle from either the warm up or the first couple of games, as he'd appeared to be fine prior to this, and when practicing over the weekend. Hopefully he's using tonight to get rested and massaged and treated for it...
I'm sure he's come back from two sets to one down before - and at least he does have this time to psych himself up again too. I guess we'll just have to see.
Inanna, who will be glued to her internet connection to listen tomorrow (I don't have a TV, so have to rely on the radio. Which is mostly OK, apart from two hour disconnects from ntl, the odd crash by my web browser, AND the fact that I can't drool over the players in action,... but on the positive side, I'm going down to my parents for the weekend so can catch the mens' final at least.)
Hey! I just thought! Have suitable provisions been made for us to watch the women's final during the h2g2 meet up?? I don't want to be traipsing around the BBC Exhibition if we can't see Lindsay Davenport beat Venus Williams on Centre Court...

Oooh and he's fought back from 0-40 down on his serve ... let's hope he holds it...
*Crosses fingers and holds her breath*.
Unfortunately, I'm at work, so can't even have radio wimbledon now. Have to rely on the java scoreboard from the wimbledon site....

Woo-hoo!!! Miracles do happen! Break out the ...
and all round ....
Now, apparently he's beaten Federer on both their previous matches... let's hope that that can hold. Go Tim go!!!

He's won again. Into the semi-finals now.
Let's hope he wins the tournament, there would be a national celebration...

Yayy Tim!
Mind you, I have this gut feeling that this is as far as he'll go. It'll be a shame though, I'd love to see him win.. the part of me that believes in and miracles.
We could declare it an extra bank holiday. Give everyone the day off to celebrate. Or something.
