h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Excellent review of District 9 which I must confess is the first film I made a point of going to see in a theater in several years. The trailers had me hooked in a way that nothing else had since Star Trek Nemesis.

I started a thread on the subject of District 9 which did not do well because the film had not yet opened outside North America.

So it is with a great deal of gratitude and satisfaction that I read your review. Your perspicacious insights have elevated my appreciation and understanding of the film. And I thank you for sharing!

Have to agree with everything you said, and
be mightily impressed by several elements you
noted which had escaped me entirely. Like Ron
Perlman for example. I like him if I know him.
