Sure would be delighted...then again or what sounds like a rather interesting title
Lady Scott- I lived in Meadville about 20 miles south of Erie and 2 hours away from everywhere else. Not expecting anyone to know it.

I've heard of the place, actually... I think
I'm not originally from Pa, so sometimes I get similar place names in the state mixed up.

Really? I've only met a few other people on line that knew it and one of them had a niece there that was a good friend of mine.
It does get confusing.

Quille, I used to live near Titusville Pa., now live just south of Warren in the Alleghney National Forest. I have been to Meadville many times. Used to go to 'Street, Track, and Trail' there quite a bit. The weather here is so lovely today, we have a 'winter weather advisory' for sleet, snow, and freezing rain. Don't you miss it?

We've got rain and lots of it, so far.
They keep changing their minds about the snow, but that's the way it is here in southeast Pa.

Righto Ralph! I've been to Titusville lots too! MY aunt worked lots in Warren for the Census Bureau...I REALLY do miss it! I want to go skiing again, but we've just had rain all day (not that rain and storms are bad things ). Can't ever go skiing here or run outside an play in the sleet...I must come visit, mustn't I?
Is it really lady scott? When do you normally get snow?
Hi Mr Christopher.

Well, in NJ, we haven't had a real snow in four years!

We normally get snow when the grocery stores suddenly run out of milk and bread....
That's what people do here - as soon as the first flake falls, they all make a mad dash to the store to stock up on milk and bread, as if they'll be snowed in for a week!
We seldom get real snow before January. But it always seems like we get another snowfall late in the season, after it's been warm long enough that you figure it's too late for snow. Last winter was different though - I don't think we had any measurable snow at all.

I grew up on a Dairy farm in the snow belt of N.Y. My sister and I used to ride sled from the top of the snow plow bank across from our house down to the next farm. Each run was so long, that after two runs you were exhusted from walking back. On top of that we had to duck to get under the electric lines when we crossed the top of the bank. Sounds like a tall tale, but it's the truth! There are other stories also, but I know most of them wouldn't be believed.

Thanks Shea!
What constitutes a real snow Mr. Christopher?
Milk and bread Lasy Scott? What a strange combination of things to buy...Think eggs might be a bit more important? Can make bread from those.
It sounds fabulous Ralph! *waits with the others for tales of any kind*

Oh, but most people don't bother to make bread these days...
And besides, the theory is that if we have more than 3 flakes of snow, the power will be out for a week or more too - how would they ever bake bread?
