This entry is an account of the (short) history and works of a popular group of British comedians. They have their place in popular culture, and their ever-increasing fan-base leads me to believe that many Guide readers would find the piece interesting and informative.

Can't think of much to criticise here but I feel I must.
So perhaps you should consider changing your words where you talk about 'their future plans include...) given that once your article has been in the Guide a while, whatever they do next will have already happened and your article might seem out of date.

I actually live in Hadfield, Derbyshire where the TV series is filmed and I can tell you our village has been taken over with the theme. We now have 'the Royston cafe', a butcher making 'special' sausages, a pub serving Royston Vasey beer, a fish and chip shop selling prints based on the series, a newsagent offering League inspired fridge magnets and a poster in the pub proclaiming 'Creme Brulee' as next week's entertainment. Maybe I should go and write an article about the effect on a non-descript little town of being chosen as the location for a cult TV series.

You're right about the "in future" bit - I'll change that directly.
I'm afraid that I'm one of those tourists who keep coming to your town and buying the horrifically overpriced yet oh-so-tempting LoG merchandise.
From what I understand, edited guide entries consist of information gathered from various articles about the chosen subject - so a piece on their effect on your town could be a useful addition.

At the moment I'm undecided on whether it would ever warrant a place in the Edited Guide (my piece, not yours which I'd like to see on the front page tomorrow). I think yours is better as a standalone entry on the League of Gentlemen themselves and doesn't need any additions. Mine is more a personal perspective and if I decide to launch it on the world would probably work as a separate but related piece, with a reference to yours. 'Tis time I went offline and slept on this decision.

Nice entry on a funny show. I don't really see any problems with this becoming part of the Edited Guide. My only real suggestion is to suggest the possibility of doing an enumeration of the more notable characters on the show as is done in the Simpsons entry (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A362260), but that might be going overboard. On second thought, never mind.

I think I like the article as it is. It's more a piece about the comedy team than their current cast of characters so a list of names ala the Simpsons entry isn't really necessary here. IMHO

Hmmm....while I can't say I find the photo too convincing, I can well imagine some of the quotes said in Hillary's voice...

"They're just clutching at straws. I can disprove all the charges!"

I did find the BSE crisis rather similar to Mr Briss' situation, though...creatures becoming ill as a result of cannibalism...the dreadful paranoia....ooh, it's all just a satirical reflection upon modern life!

Except for Papa Lazarou, of course. He's real.
