Shadow - I understand that you don't know or wish to learn GuideML - myself I find it pretty tedious to put it all in, so in some of my entries I've been leaving in plain text, and I *do* know how to work it...
What I really wanna know is if tiggers are a subspecies of tigers, or if there's a seperate genus for cuddly toys...

Aren't tigers made of teeth and flesh and teeth and bones and teeth and fur and teeth and stuff?
Euuuchhhhh!!!!

Dancer,
I'm guessing you're new to Scouting and haven't spent much time reading the Edited Guide Entries in existence currently. See that bit up at the top of the page that says, "Life | The Universe | Everything"? You'll notice it doesn't say, "| Everything but not silly or fluff type articles... |
Of course I expect this to eventually be recommended for inclusion into The Guide. As a former Scout myself that has been around since H2G2 started, I've seen far worse, with far less content and about more rediculous topics be included. Care to make a wager on it?

Lucinda,
As Tigger maintains that he's the only one. I'd be forced to say he's not a subspecies, more likely a genetic mutation of the existing species.

Oh yes and if anyone doubts whether this entry is "Guide Material" go check the entry on Tigers at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A139420 At least this article gives useful information on how to perform an action. Given it's nearly impossible for humans to do, however that's not to say that there aren't other species out there that couldn't.

Nobody asked me... (I don't care) I'll talk anyway:
I'm with Mr. Shado' ... Nobody wants another Britannica ( remember? - the Galactica went rock-bottom.)
Fun is great, this IS a fun entry. So what?

Oh.... I do remember that...
"The wonderful thing about tiggers, a tigger's a wonderful thing,
their tops are made of rubber, their tails are made of spring,
they're bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun.
The wonderful wonderful thing about tiggers is I'm the only one."
Actually, I'd love to see a guide entry on tiggers in general, but I guess I'll have to wait for that or write it myself.

Well MyRed and other assorted readers, as soon as one of you Scouts recommend THIS entry for inclusion into The Guide, I'll get started on the entry on Tiggers in general, followed shortly by one on real Tigers too.
BTW it's "bouncy, pouncy, trouncy, flouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun...yadda, yadda"

Yes, but to quote an age old idiom, "He who smelt it, dealt it." Now about recommending this article for The Guide...would that be happening sooner...or later? Once this goes in and/or my other one (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F48874?thread=109579), I can concentrate on creating a couple of new ones...hint, hint. They're ready and ain't gonna git any readier, if'n ya ast me. ~~

Well, I'm here. I'm a Scout and I like this entry. I'm going to make this my first recommendation as a scout. In fact the conversations about this entry would make an amusing entry too!!

There are three problems with this entry, according to the person who wrote the rejection letter:
The firstest) TPTB (rightly?) have a copyright paranoia - and Disney's lawyers are well known p#######c b######s - so they'd like to know whether the lyrics are in copyright - if they are, then the entry can't go in to the Edited Guide. It might even be removed from the unedited guide.
The nextest) Apparently, it doesn't say how to perform the dance, which I'm not hugely sure about - but I think their point is that if you wrote more stuff about the dance, describing how it looks, how it works, that kind of thing, then it might be posible to argue editorial justification for quoting the lyrics.
The lastest) They don't like the paragraph on copyright. I *did* say so beforehand, if I recall...
Let me know what you think.

The song 'The Loopty-looper, Doopty-dooper, Alley-ooper bounce' probably IS copyrighted, I'd be seriously shocked if it wasn't. However, quoting partial lyrics from a song doesn't violate the copyright.
Secondly, it's a bounce that Tigger and Roo bounce, not a dance. The end results of which is they riccochett around the room/area/landscape (providing there are elevated surfaces to bounce off of) like a rubber high-bounce ball shot out of a cannon. I guess I can add that in somewhere.
I'll delete the portion on copyright at the end. It was never intended to be serious anyway, just tongue in cheek poking fun at the entire rediculous concept.
Lastedly what are p#######c b######s?

I've raised the copyright thing here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F47997?thread=115077 So hopefully we'll get a better answer than "um, it might be copyright, um"... in the mean time, please do make the other changes... :)
