A Conversation for Negotiating with Car Dealers
Buy the old model

This has also to do with timing: when a new model of a car is released or short before release, buy the *old* model. When a new model is out, people tend to quickly dislike the old one in favour of the new; the dealer has difficulties selling these zombies and hopefully lets some money off. The other advantage is that new models often have teething problems while the old model is somewhat matured and one shouldn't expect any surprises.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
