I know some of you won't have seen the film and others won't want to relive the experience but I'd still appreciate comments as much on the form of the review as the (in)justice I've done to the film.
Thanks

My only complaint is that you claim that the effects are barely noticeable. I found them extremely noticeable, especially in the dragon/mage war scenes. The effects seemed mostly substandard a la Xena or Hercules to me...

I saw the film 'cos I was hoping for something based on the old cartoon series.
Not a chance.
Oh well.
I like this article because it is very two-sided about something which I wanted to enjoy but couldn't help slating afterwards.

Thanks for the comments, I wanted to like the movie but couldn't help myself slating it. I suffered from the thought that I could have done a lot more with the ending of the film
iaoth I found that throughout the film the sfx were pretty good, the odd landscape didn't ring true but the few magic spells that were cast early on were as realistic as these things can be. I admit part of my dissatisfaction was related to the computer graphics but that was more on their insistance to use sunset and dark clouds to show off. Obviously anything with dragons in is going to be computer generated but I still felt that they moved as realistically as is possible with an imaginary beast. It was, in my view, more realistic movement (especially in the clinches) than any other film I've seen (I'm particularly thinking of the droids in Star Wars Ep1 and the crowds in Gladiator)
I tried as much as possible to be objective and I felt mentioning that might be a little too much on the subjective side. If you think otherwise, let me know and I'll make an adjustment.

The article was better than the movie.
One little point: it should read Queen Amidala.
Incidently, wouldn't red dragons be immune to fireballs?

I like this article, and I've never even seen the film!
Good to mention the strengths and weaknesses of the film.

I didn't see the film (not my kind of genre), but I did see the entry, and I saw it was good! (Ooops, I'm plagiarising )
I am this entry but I'm afraid my list isn't short any more.. At the rate of 5 picks (fiction!) per day I alone could select entries for two weeks...

Think I've spotted it first, but as I said elsewhere... In the meantime I have to resort to longlisting rather than shortlisting Soo many entries in the 'pickable' state.
I'm delighted there's still scouts with arrows left to shoot

Thanks Guys
After four weeks of inactivity I was wondering if I'd have to resort to making random comments to get it noticed, preferably before the video came out
Incidentally do you think it's worth continuing with review entries considering the BBC already has so many of them on the main site?

I think so - the more info this thing holds the better - and stuff the bbc's content - it will be so carboardy that it won't be worthy of an entry (no offence like!).
