As if talent counts in a choire...
You should hear this woman who sings with me, she somehow figured out that she was a Soprano, but she has no singin' voice and she's horrible, but she takes part in the choire every bloody year!

and the choir director did nothing but encourage me. she was even disappointed when i dropped out.

I'm an Alto. I have lots of hard times tryin' to read the notes. I think I have notes dislexia- they usually mean nothing to me, even after all these years.
I'm being encouraged too, even thought of studying voice development and Opera singin', but I'm too practical to do that to my future!

i never could read music to sing. i could read to play, but when i sing, i have to hear someone else sing it first, then i can copy the tones. but i can't read the music.

Same here! I know if the sound should go up or down, but not the 'how much?' part. 
That's frastrating...
But I practice alittle...

we are going for more boozeing soon 
we went water skiing on teusday and tomorrow I am going for a last fling in belfast beforew I go back to the Uk 
an the other hand I have got the best sleep I have had in months
