All this Kahlua and milk reminds me of the time my friend and I (both New Yorkers) were in Scotland, and she ordered a White Russian at a restaurant. The waiter came back after consulting with the bartender, and asked "What exactly is in that?" I thought she was crazy to let him even try at that point, but she told him "Vodka, Kahlua and milk". He said that wasn't a problem. He brought back a drink that was in a tall, skinny frosty-looking glass. She looked at it, and showed it to me. It really looked funky. She tried it, made a face, and called the waiter back. When she asked him how they made it, he said, "Just what you ordered: vodka, cola and milk".
