By the way, is there a sister conversation to this in Ask called something like "You've been on h2g2 too long when....?" I've tried searching for it, but lost the will to live while dealing with the Advanced Search Page.

Anyone remember it? Anyone still subscribed who can give me a link? Or am I making it up?

When you've given up even bothering with the advanced search for conversations

Incidentally, I am subscribed to it but I feel I would lose the will to live looking through my conversation backlog

When you wake up in the morning and the first thing you think of is signing on to h2g2

When you wish you didn't live in Canada so you could be awake when everyone else is on

When there have been very few posts over the last few days, you skip hootooing for ONE DAY only to come back and find all of your convos have at least 25 new posts each.

PS I have the movie poster from a theater, double sided so it can be backlit. I got it framed the other day as a gift for making Dean's list for the fourth semester in a row.

...you've finally gotten it into your head that there's a 15 minute delay between someone having no activity and the eyes going away, so you wait a few minutes before you say anything after someone swears that they're getting offline

Those little eyes are pointless with a buliten board system, in my opinion.
