A Conversation for h2g2 and the General Election 2001
Ridiculous

You mean Songs of Praise isn't a front for the Socialist Worker's Party?
You didn't realise until now that Rudolph the Reindeer was a commie now did you? And as for Santa...
Come to think of it Spiderman was all dressed in Blue with some Red - does that make him New Labour?
Ridiculous
Ormondroyd Posted May 10, 2001
Shouldn't h2g2 change the colour of Goo from Tory blue to a politically neutral colour for the duration of the election?
Ridiculous
NexusSeven Posted May 10, 2001
Well, it's obvious which way all the smileys are voting... Perhaps we should refer to them as 'Kennedys' henceforth?
Or maybe (to ensure fairness) every has to be accompanied by
and
so that there can be no accusation of bias?
Ridiculous

Lib/Lab alliance? Blatant Tory propaganda. I like the , though, because it contains all four colours.
Ridiculous
Ormondroyd Posted May 10, 2001
Interesting, isn't it, that the red smileys denote anger or derision - - and the blue one sadness
- but the yellow ones have all kinds of nice associations:
?
More blatant propaganda!
Ridiculous

Orcus do you have some sort of special mission from the Lord of the Underworld himself?
Has he instructed you to follow me round making trouble?
Ridiculous
Abi Posted May 10, 2001
Oh well in that case it is ok...
I was just getting a bit paranoid but if it is all down to Satan then that I can cope with.
Ridiculous

Haven´t read all the backlog, but posting all the smileys seems rather "Heavy UK Politics..." What else do those chaps in power do than provide you with smileys?
Am I glad, that I am living in Germany. I am allowed to vote in the comunity, but the big stuff I leave to the germans. Then at least here it isn´t my fault...
Oh! And because of all the houseruling and guidelines I have receeded to the "pub-threads" completely. I somehow just get around to thinking about the esential problems anymore ( you know, like: God and Atheism and what colour the queen should die her hair )
Key: Complain about this post
