h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I think that the term 'the BBC's standards' lacks definition and the Zaphodistas should force the BBC to produce an easily accessible list of acceptable items that can appear in this community. We should then negotiate on these standards if they appear undemocratic. This petition should aim to give the community back to the people who live inside it rather than the people who rule over it.

But the Zaphodistas can't 'force' the BBC to do anything. They can suggest, argue, hint, or entreat. But in the end, the BBC can do whatever it wants.

And if you are looking for a list of things that can appear at h2g2, you are asking for an very long list. I mean, it sounds like a demand that would be quite impractical to fulfill. Here's what I imagine the output might look like:

information on tomatoes
chatty conversation about tomatoes
original poems about tomatoes
prose fiction about tomatoes
philosophical concerns about tomatoes
lists of movies that include tomatoes
recipes that have tomatoes in
words that rhyme with 'tomatoes'
clever puns hinging on the word 'tomatoes'
arguments about putting tomatoes 'where the sun don't shine'
etc etc etc

*taking a big breath*
