After seeing Balck Adder Back and Forth, I'm convinced they should do a Roman version of the series. I think its set up perfectly. It would mean going back rather than forwards, but I don't think that would be a problem.

Sorry, Black Adder, not Balck Adder (which is something comeletely different, and ultimately very disturbing)

I'm still unsure, me being of the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' school. A Roman Blackadder would be fun, of course, but would it be of the same quality as we're used to?

I think as long as they keep to the same team, and formula, and do the series throught the BBC, then there is no reason why it shouldn't be the same quality were used to.

Sorry, i can't agree. The first series was excellent, and the second better, but the third was poor and the fourth was just Rowan Atkinson being clever. I would rather watch repeats of the first and second )the first never gets repeated) than anything of the standard of the third and fourth series.

Terran Posted Sep 5, 2002
I'm sorry but I must disagree with your disagree. I am sick of watching repeats. I'm not saying that a new series would definately be better, but I think it may be worth a try.
(By the way are you going to give yourself a name, and put an intro on your page?)

I really think they should do another series of Blackadder.
They did show a special in which Blackadder built a timemachine and went back in time with Baldrick. this was rather amusing.

I'm still undecided, but the I thought Red Dwarf. They decided to keep going after the not-so-good 7th series and went back to the old formula, so if they did that with a new Blackadder series I'd probably be sold

A lot of people though Blackadder was "finished" thanks to the lacklustre "movie" made for the Millenium Dome. As one of the writers pointed out, they were given precious little time to get the scripts together, so the finished product was far from polished.
A Roman Blackadder is not a bad idea, I don't think the series can go any further into the future, so a move back in time is an option. I'd like to see Blackadder's cynical wit put into play against the Roman world.

you can always go farther into the future. You meantioned Red Dwarf *am wearing a shirt w/ a smiley w/ a H on the forehead above and below the smiley it says SMEG HAPPENS* why not have a furure relative of Blackadder meet the boys on the Dwarf

Another Blackadder...hmm....
Might be fun! But like you say, it might be best left open.
I'm a great fan of Fawlty Towers too, but it would be difficult to make more of those.
Back and Forth was great, I've got it on VHS, maybe they will make one in 3000!!

I agree,, new episodes, old episodes, whichever. I was only able to see a few of the old episodes, not in order, on PBS. After finding the show at midnight I was only able to see a couple of months worth of episodes then PBS cancelled it completely. This was around the time Mr. Bean came out in the theaters. I want Black Adder, we don't get enough good English humor here in America!!

Can you remember what series the shows were from (ie what time period was represented)?
It's commonly held that the second (Elizabethan England) and fourth (World War I) series are the best.

i agree that we should work to persuade the makers of Blackadder to make another series perhaps in the future 2000 space suits and on the moon or mars or even in a space ship. perhaps
