So then, if the BBC brings back Black Adder, what historical period should it be set in? The Great Depression perhaps, or would that be too depressing? WWII? Korea? EEEEK! The possabilities are endless!

I think Blackadder is really, really funny, so funny i went out and spent fifty quid on the box set. However, when they did Back and Forth, it wasn't quite as good and didn't have the same wit as the original series. I think it should be left with those four beacsue they are so good and anything else might spoil them, now i sound like a total kiljoy, maybe in a few years they might bring it back because they're making a new series of Dr. Who for '05 and that's been off the air for fourteen years. In my opinion it shoudl at least stay off the air for a bit longer, so that it there is a new series then people will not rememeber the old ones as well so comparsion should not be much of a problem.

To be fair - and I am new to this game, so don't bite my head off - Didn't the writers want The thin blue line to be a blackadder thing? They couldn't get all the actors together and Rowan Atkinson decided that it was not going to be good enough to be called a blackadder series. And it wasn't.
