Yes you can join in the fun!
Anything or even nothing about Astronomy/Space science. Just an interest.
Go over to A413876 and click on the Discussion Group link and join the Yahoo! Group.
We have just passed the roundabout at Barnards star so...nearly?
You can drive - can't you?? - Yeliab is usually in charge around here but he doesn't seem to be very active on h2g2 at the moment. Exams, I think?

I'm in the Northern Hemisphere (just outside Cambridge, UK)
Interests include astronomy (no surprise there), football, writing ... and my latest craze of being amazed at our new baby daughter .

I've had a long day at work and I'm too tired to think of a natty nickname, so I'll stick with being John.

Hello, yes, well, err... so back to it then.
Yepp I has been away for a while, exams, grandparesnts funerals and the Isle of Wight to name a few distractions. But I really need to get back into it (please keep the pressure on me!)

I'll get on to adding your member entry shortly, it's always great to meet friends I never knew I had

Did I get your application to the disscussion group, in which case are you successfully signed up?

PS: Already started our daughter on the right path. She's got a stars-and-planets mobile over her cot that plays "Twinkle, twinkle ..."
Of course, I've told her that stars don't *actually* twinkle and that it's a phenomenon caused by atmospheric effects and in extreme cases interstellar material. I think she took it in

OK I've added you into the members list (took my time about it).

I'm glad she's getting to grips with the basics! I think I may have drastically alterd the path of my youthgroup leaders eldist son, to whom I got to say orion nebula (by repetedly saying it) and is now hooked on astronomy. Oops!

We need a new conundrum to throw into the AS pool...
