Assuming I can use brackets, then (3+0)x7x(5-3)=42
That's been bugging me for years. I feel like I've solved Fermats last theorum! Time to update my homepage, which currently reads something like "3 + 0 + (7 x 5) + 3 = 42, for large values of 41", with a footnote to the effect that "Next time, I'll have one from the top, and five small ones please Carol", which is of course a reference to Countdown (A UK Channel 4 quiz show) (French readers may substitute Des Chiffres et des lettres) (See A1105443 if you need to find out)

According to my program, which is pretty good (though not infallible), (3+0)*7*(5-3) is the only solution just using +-*/, unless the rather inelegant -30+75-3 is allowed (I have an aesthetic objection to leading '-' signs.)
